Ducks Unlimited

Art and Shirley Goldstrom are members of Ducks Unlimited which works for responsible conservation and, particularly, wetlands conservation in Las Vegas, Overton, and Reno, Nevada.  Ducks Unlimited has a larger local, national, and international presence (including Canada and Mexico) to promote safe habitats for migrating waterfowl, understandings about harvesting and renewing forests, and wild horse population control.  Responsible conservation is at the center of the activities and purposes of Ducks Unlimited, and clay shooting tournaments, hunting, and education about the importance training dogs as hunters' helpers all offer opportunities for an expanded awareness and appreciation of hunting as a conservation-based sport.  Volunteer based and nonprofit, Ducks Unlimited works with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to assure habitat restoration and repair.  The Nevada membership numbers approximately 3400, and more than $200,000 has been put to work on projects that include a cleanup of the Las Vegas Wash.  Best of all is the remarkable website for the organization.  Look in on the link provided below for a comprehensive look at the social scope of the organization and a range of information about ducks, dogs, and its determined and strong membership.
